Dr. Rée LeBlanc Gunter's practice offers a wide range of psychological and consultation services designed to assist individuals and organizations in obtaining their maximum potential. This goal is accomplished by individuals and/or organizations being active partners in their treatment or consultation process.
Dr. Gunter works with a diverse group of clients and organizations throughout the state of Connecticut, providing culturally sensitive services and training that address a plethora of personal and professional challenges. Dr. Gunter’s expertise is with adults.
In individual and group counseling settings, Dr. Gunter exemplifies compassion in the face of emotional pain or distress. Her ability to be objective during times of uncertainty facilitates the process of gaining insight for her clients. This insight leads to critical action steps utilized for steady and consistent progress for her clients.
The initial phase of individual therapy consists of two essential components. The first component entails creating a safe, trusting, nonthreatening environment. The second component includes a comprehensive evaluation of the presenting problem. This enables the individual(s) to feel understood and not judged; thus, a level of confidence to ensure that their needs will be met and desired changes will occur.
For organizations, Dr. Gunter provides high quality individualized professional services. After an initial evaluation of their needs, customized workshops and/or program development series are designed and facilitated by Dr. Gunter. These services have proven to drive individual growth of participants and improve organizational teamwork and collaboration, allowing them to more effectively meet their goals.
